Carlos R Rodriguez was born on March 9, 1951 and met his parents and brother in heaven on March 20th, 2024 at the age of 73, after a long fight with cancer, diabetes and other health issues.
Carlos was born on March 9,1951 to Lucy and Santos Rodriguez in San Antonio, Texas. Known to those who loved him most as Uncle Cheeky, he attended South Division High school 1967-1969. He never married his first true love, “Christine or Chris”, but never forgot her and longed to find her before his death.
Uncle Cheeky went on to have a number of children, he helped raise, but he loved E-V, Bunny, Letycia, Evelynda and Esmeeliz the most. He always went above and beyond for his family. He put up pinatas and birthday parties. While babysitting, he would take the kids to the park, bowling, skating, and to local fairs.
Uncle Cheeky retired and spent his time at Kozy’s Mini Bowl and Cedar Inn bar drinking and watching football games. He loved the Packers and playing darts. He also loved listening to “oldies” music and dancing. In his younger years, he even won a dance competition.
Carlos was predeceased in death by his Mother: Lucy Rodriguez, father: Santos Rodriguez, older brother: Andres Rodriguez and a number of nephews and nieces. He is survived by Yvonne Wilbrandt, Letycia Ybarra, Evelynda Ybarra, Daniel Ybarra, Esmeeliz Ayala, Emmanuel Ayala, Angel Wilbrandt and Manuel Ayala, the family he lived with and cared for him until his last breath. Lastly, his unforgettable nurse, caretaker and friend, Dallas.
No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Yvonne Wilbrandt at his “Life Celebration” on Monday April 1, 2024 at Koz’s Mini Bowl, 2078 S 7th St. Milwaukee, WI 53204, from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm
