Carol Anne Shirah

Carol Anne Shirah (nee Michalec) of Milwaukee passed away at home at the age of 79 after a courageous battle with cancer on September 3, 2026. Carol was born on June 10, 1947 in Hayward Wisconsin to Carmella (nee Beauregard) Michalec and Harold Arbuckle. She was a member of the Bad River Band Of Lake Superior Chippewa. Carol was a much loved daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother

Carol is survived by her sons Richard Shirah, Robert Shirah and Daniel Gruszka, her adored grandchildren Gary Gronowski, Josh Sklander, Rebecca Shirah, Richard Shirah Jr., and Robert Shirah Jr. She is survived by sisters, Deborah Kettner (nee Michalec), Jone Stromberg (nee Michalec), Jenny Zervas (nee Michalec), Pamela Bezruczko (nee Michalec) Patty Big Bigboy (nee Arbuckle) Rebecca LeMieux (nee Arbuckle), Laura Freeman (nee Arbuckle), Lisa Arbuckle and Gwen Arbuckle and brothers Mark Arbuckle and Guy Arbuckle. 

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Sinden (nee Shirah), son, Brian Shirah and grandson Christopher Shirah. Carol was also preceded in death by her parents Carmella  and Harold, her sister, Kathy Millbeck (nee Michalec) and brothers, Robert LeMieux and Mark Arbuckle.

Carol was a generous, kind hearted, beautiful woman who was a friend to anyone in need. She has now moved on from here to be closer to her Heavenly FATHER.
