Depotsie, Ruth M.

Went home to her creator on May 2, 2022 at the age of 97 years.

Preceded in death by her husbands: Albert Swan, Francis “Skinny” Gardipee, and Joseph Depotsie. Also preceded in death by her children Anna Marie and Michael D. “Monto.”

Survived by her loving children: Charlotte Tuchalski, Margaret Hartline, June Bass, Louis Gardipee, Theresa Gardipee, Ruth (David) Koenig, Nancy Reyes, Edward Gardipee, Bernadette Arellano, Francis (Trudy) Gardipee, and Richard (Sue) Gardipee. Further survived by five generations of beautiful grandchildren. Also loved by her large, loving extended family: the Redhails, the Skenandores, and the Biddles.

Ruth will forever be remembered by her fierce, passionate, and adoring nature. She was known for being endlessly spunky and stood up for what was right. She was fiercely devoted to her family, friends, and loved ones. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Witkowiak Funeral Home (529 W. Historic Mitchell St. Milwaukee, WI 53204) with a visitation at 10:30am, service at 12:30pm, and interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery to follow.
