It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Larry (Lawrence) John Fleuchaus on October 8, 2025. He will be affectionately remembered by his wife of 31 years, Dawn, his daughter Brooklyn, Father Walter (Pauline), brothers James (Melissa), Robert (Susan), and Thomas. He will also be missed by nephews Ethan, Noah, Benjamin, Ryan, Carter, Kellan and niece Veleska.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (Majeski) and brother Patrick. Larry was born on October 11, 1970 in Racine and grew up on Meadow Lane Avenue. He graduated from J.I. Case High School in 1988. Larry was active in school athletics, particularly wrestling and Pole Vault. His passion for pole vault led to over 20 years of coaching. Larry cherished the time he spent coaching Franklin High Pole Vaulting where he met many athletes and families who remained close to him as they graduated, married, and had children of their own.
He attended college at UW-Milwaukee where he met his wife Dawn and many life-long friends. He graduated from MATC with a degree in electronics, but Larry had a knack for many complex concepts(hobbies? theories? from computer programming and Minecraft to solar power and construction. Larry built many homes and restaurants while working with his good friend Scott. The two of them together along with many close family and friends also built a cabin in the woods and a tropical Jamaican getaway. Jamaica was a second home to Larry, and the family he built there was so very dear to him.
