Josephine is reunited with the love of her life, our Pa, the late Geronimo Rivas. Survived by her children, Josie (Jimmy), Diana, Isabel (Scott), Geronimo Jr. (Tina), Raquel (Charles), and Teresa. Also survived by her siblings: the late Guadalupe (late Chayo), Liz (Dave), Carlos (Nancy), Eloisa (Benny), the late Valentino, the late Leon “Chito”, Jesus, and Denise (the late Michael). Further survived by her grandchildren: Jason, Danielle, Nicolas, Sergio, the late Anthony, Gabriella, Melissa and Guadalupe, and her great-grandchildren: Tiffany, Dereck, and Zoey.
She was the loving matriarch of our family. She retired from Briggs & Stratton after 25 years. She was the kind of person that if you needed help, she would do whatever she could do to help you no matter the time of day without judgement, she always gave unconditional love.
We want to thank all of our family and friends for all of the love and support. We are very grateful to Aurora Home Hospice Care, especially to Emily, mom’s nurse, and Abby, her aide. They wonderfully took loving care of her, were very optimistic and kind to her, they adored our mom.
Services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (604 S. 4th St. Milwaukee, WI 53204) with visitation at 9:30am, Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, and procession to Holy Trinity Cemetery (3564 S. 13th St. Milwaukee, WI 53215).
